Advocates of Iusland Law Offices made reports at the conference for lawyers “IN PETER - LAW”

On November 22, 2019, in St. Petersburg, the conference “IN PETER LAW” was held, at which the managing partner of Iusland Law Office Elena Legashova and the advocate of Iusland Law Office Aleksandr Mamyshev made presentations, and the partner and advocate of Iusland Law Office Maxim Semenyako became moderator of the session “Applied issues of protecting business and private interests”. Iusland Law Office has also become one of the partners of the event.

Elena Legashova presented her report on the topic “Evasion of customs payments. Risks of foreign trade.” Elena spoke about the main problems of applying Art. 194 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Evasion of customs payments levied on an organization or an individual) related to the lack of clarification of the Supreme Court, and also made recommendations for the protection of the Principal before the initiation of a criminal case, at the stage of administrative investigations.

Aleksandr Mamyshev made a report on the topic “Fixing violations during investigative actions and operational-search measures in company offices as a defense method.” During the speech, the most typical and significant violations were touched upon, as well as specific methods of their identification and fixation with the aim of using the subsequent appeal of the actions of law enforcement agencies, applying to each type of procedural actions.

The conference “IN PETER - LAW”, which was held for the first time this year, became a bright event in the legal sphere of activity. It brought together well-known advocates and lawyers in the professional community, who spoke on the hottest and most relevant topics, and no less highly professional audience. The key topics of the conference were trends in criminal and administrative prosecution of business, issues of effective business protection and the protection of lawyers and advocates.
